The Family Literacy and Parenting Staff works with families to discover their strengths and determine their goals for their own family.  Through encouragement, advocacy, and time, we empower parents in achieving success for their family.

Our role is connector: we aim to connect families to valuable resources in the community, connect families to meaningful activities, and connect school and families for a healthy relationship.  Stress sometimes gets in the way of parents providing the structure, discipline, and resources to their children and adolescents that they want to give.  We support families in managing this stress so they can feel better about themselves and their child can be more prepared to succeed in school.
